Research Help & Consultation

Penrose Library provides the following services to assist users in the use of library and information systems, both inside Penrose and beyond its walls.

Ask a research question
Do you have a question and a DU e-mail account? Reference librarians will answer brief research questions and provide guidance via e-mail. Individuals with lengthy and complex research questions should visit the Research Help Center to meet with a librarian.

Research Guides
This page provides a complete list of current research guides. You can retrieve a guide by topic or by course.

One-on-one consultation
This service is provided to DU faculty members and/or students who wish to schedule a one-on-one consultation session on the use of library resources or who require assistance with specific course projects. Please complete the form and a subject specialist will contact you within 24 hours. Weekends and holidays may cause delays.

Research Help Center
The Research Help Center is staffed by Librarians during core hours, which vary according to the academic calendar.
Current hours are:
Mon-Thurs 9 am - 9 pm
Friday 9 am - 5 pm
Saturday 10 am - 6 pm
Sun Noon - 8 pm

PIRLS supports the university's mission through teaching, service and scholarship. Each of the librarians listed below are responsible for instruction in collaboration with campus academic departments.
