Streaming Videos for DU CourseMedia

Videos can be streamed for access through DU CourseMedia by faculty as required or recommended for their courses.

Please allow up to three weeks for requests to be processed. We will e-mail you when your request has been fulfilled. Because of the very time consuming process of delivering video for classes, we may need to negotiate priorities in the event you need a large number of videos (ten or more) for your courses. Please contact Bethany Sewell to discuss this at Bethany.sewell@du.edu. Thanks for helping us plan our work.

Requests for Streaming Video for DU CourseMedia:

What is DU CourseMedia? It is a courseware tool for presenting high quality videos, images and audio files to course participants. Instructors have access to over 24,000 art and world history images and currently over 600 library reserve videos.

Streaming Video Requests may be made in person at the library circulation desk OR online at the traditional reserve request form OR by sending an e-mail to reserve@du.edu with the course name, course number, instructor, and a list of complete citations for the requested items.

If the requested items are part of the Penrose collection, we will retrieve them from the stacks and place them on reserve. If Penrose does not own the requested items, we will attempt to rush a purchase of the video.

Please return all library materials checked out to you which you are requesting for reserves to allow time for processing and placing on reserves. If library material is currently checked out, we will recall the material and process when the material is returned.

Videos requested for streaming will be placed on traditional reserves each quarter used in DU CourseMedia. Materials will then be removed from Traditional Resreves at the end of each Quarter unless requested otherwise.

If you have questions or need further assistance, please contact us at 303.871.3707 or reserve@du.edu .

For access to DU CourseMedia, please request access on the DU CourseMedia homepage https://duvaga.du.edu/ via the Instructor Request Form .
